Creating is not mandatory. Some people just have money to buy unique, designer products for themselves. Some people can not afford this luxury but still want to have something unique to make themselves a little different from the person sitting next to them.

For those people, DIY and creating their own unique pieces are an important way to be happy. Yes, it costs some time and little money.

I needed a hanging decoration for the curtain rod of my house. That had to be unique. First, I wanted to buy the bamboo one. It was melodious.

In one regular visit to the nearby discount store I found this pretty, super cheap glass tubes filled with dryflowers, I liked them very much and envisioned them adroning my home but not just as the glass tubes. I came up with making a hanging decoration out of it. So, the glass tubes would be most visualized. In the same store, I found the candle holder. They had black colour in this design, but as the curtain rod was black I thought golden is a better option. I had to go to a different store for the threads. The threads are transparent elastic .5mm.

I had to pierce the Cork and made a knot with a large bead in every Cork. Then, insert it inside the tube to avoid the elastic to loosen.

I placed 6 tubes as there were 6 parts of the candle holder. And made a hanger. For the striker. I needed something heavy. I used an old crystal bracelet. Anything that makes better noise could be used. And the sail I used a wooden maple leaf bought from the same store.

Below is the result.

I have more similar pieces that I created and adorning my friends’ homes. Of which everyone is uniquely designed. A led tealight could be placed in the blank space of the candle holder, which gives better views at night.
