I am not the cooking person of my household. My husband is a great cook who owns a restaurant. Anyone visiting me would always have me doing probably a mashed shrimp chutney or a dried fish recipe because those are my husbands favorite and i learnt cooking them and trying different recipes. I also don’t like spending lengthy hours on preparing a dish.
My favorite snacks are also super quick to prepare, chira vaja with ghee (flattened rice with butter oil) or muri vaja (spicy puffed rice). The simplicty of this foods takes me bac to childhood and to the military boarding school i went to where dry foods were needed to fill the growing stomach of the kids where no snacks were allowed in between 3 large meals and 2 snacks. Among which i never liked the 2 small meals, weren’t good enough for my pallete.
